Panel 1
From inside a guest room at the White Bear tavern, Pōk sits on the bed with bowl in lap and gestures with a spoon while conversing... despite the presence of Puccini interrupting the gobo's view of Fip and Nik by stepping close to the bed and reaching up the corner of the room. At the far end of the bedside dresser, Nik's scowl could be in disagreement with what is said or a reaction to the wizard's blocking posterior. Fip is barely in view while sitting in front of the dresser, lifting a bowl of stew out of the way as Puccini steps in. Nak, closer to the viewer has a lifted bowl as well, but this is more of a solumn gesture. The gobo's eyes are solemnly closed...
Pōk: "<Exactly. Why give a gift if they want to attack us later?>"
Panel 2
...but after the angle changes for a straight on view, Nak's eyes open and head turns to glance up towards, whose leg is just visible behind a portion of Puccini's cape. The gobo makes a remark and begins to lower the bowl...
Nak: "<A false flag of truce. Something to get us to lower our defenses.>"
Panel 3
...and catches notice of Hob as the view pans left. The armored gobo's narrowed eyes are regarded for a quiet moment. Both are in the process of lowering their bowls.
Panel 4
By the time Nak's bowl is brought down to waist level, the gobo gives a nonchalant reply, causing Hob's eyes to roll with a shrug.
Nak: "<It is a viable tactic.>"

Oh, if we take magic into account, they could have cast a surveillance spell on it. All the advantages of being in the room without the risks.
Well, not all the advantages, since they can’t attack, but still.
