“Spell Limits” I wonder if Puccini is getting tired of being yelled at. Or interrupted. He still seems pretty chipper.

Be careful out there.

Panel 1
From inside a guest room at the White Bear tavern, a very vocal and angry Nik voices an opinion. Stew had splashed upon the gobo moments ago, and has coated the gobo's cheek, chin, and sleeveless, leather-shelled gambeson. Nik holds up the drippy bowl with one hand and begins to swipe off the delicious mess with the other, but the gobos eyes are focused on Puccini (offscreen).
Nik: "<What!? You have to be joking! Why didn't we take them down?>"

Panel 2
Across the room, the now blank scroll in Puccini's hand starts to crumble. The wizard as well in a way, suddenly looking very tired after hearing the accusation. He begins to explain the situation but is cut off by Nak...
Puccini: "It's complicated. You - -"
Nak, interrupting offscreen: "<We couldn't. We'd be at a disadvantage. Poo has been pushing the magic to its limit.>"

Panel 3
...and the scene shifts to the gobo, who calmly conveys to Nik (offscreen) the circumstances that Puccini had just started to state.
Nak: "<And the potion was running out. Victory here requires all us to be prepared.>"

Panel 4
Shifting back to Puccini, the scroll has nearly completely decayed to dust, with only flacks floating from the wizard's hand. Puccini's expression hasn't changed, although a tilt of the head and lifting a hand to his waste (offscreen) might be an attempt to emphasis his emotional state.
Puccini: "That. And a fight will break the illusion. We don't want people to know there are goblins in town."
Nak, offscreen: "<Gobos.>"
