39.03 Requesting Clarification
“Requesting Clarification” There is a time and a place for explanations. I am guessing that this is neither, based on Nak’s reaction. And perhaps this is the case, since Puccini has a couple spells running for this private conversation. Nak seems to understand at least the basics. You need to be at full spell power, have clear communication, and methods of subterfuge for any of their plans to work. Others, however, seem to be more interested in the mechanics of it all.
Be careful out there.

Panel 1
From inside a guest room at the White Bear tavern, Nak turns to engage Puccini (offscreen) with a confirming question. The gobo is sitting on the floor, back against the bed. Pōk is sitting on the bed, the gobo's feet just in view behind Nak.
Nak: "<And you are positive that they still have your stone?>"
Puccini, offscreen: "They must."
Panel 2
The scene shifts based on Pōk's point of view near the head of the bed. Puccini bends down to fetch the last spoon next to two bowls that sit on a tray next to the bed's footboard, which the wizard has a hand upon for balance. Puccini glances down past Hob to Nak (both offscreen), continuing to give his response. Just past the bed on the corner chair is Wak, who is chugging down beer, holding the tankard with both hands.
Puccini: "That's how they are hiding it."
Panel 3
The view swings out parallel to the room's back wall and bed so that Nak, Pōk and Fip can be seen. All three are looking in Puccini's direction (offscreen), with Fip also sitting on the floor, back against the bedside table (offscreen). Nak makes a statement which is quickly followed by a query from Pōk...
Nak: "<Fine. Then let's make a plan and finish this quest.>"
Pōk: "<Wait! How is that even possible?>"
Panel 4
...and Puccini's reply brings a smile to the patch-eyed gobo's face. Nak is not as pleased, turning away from Puccini to (apparently) look directly at the viewer. Fip seems excited and leans forward with an open smile. It is unclear if the gobo's excitement is with pursuing Pōk's question or if it is directed at Nak's frustration.
Puccini: "Oh! I'm glad you asked. It's quite interesting when you think about it."
