“They’re always after me… pot of gold?” Everybody’s always talking about Lucky’s charms, but nobody ever talks about his stash of cash! Maybe Bam will come back later to steal a bowl of cereal. It is once more that time of year where everyone celebrates a guy who was captured by Irish pirates and then chased off a bunch of snakes. Or so the story goes. But the mainstream masses primarily celebrate the mass consumption of alcohol. If you are one of them, enjoy yourself but also drink responsively. St. Patrick’s Day is what I’ve always referred to as one of the three amateur nights of the year, where young adults meet – and exceed – their limits. The other two nights are New Year’s Eve and Cinco de Mayo. It is one of the reasons I don’t like going out of the house on these days. It can get a bit rough. And dangerous, especially on the roads. So, enjoy the non-reason for the season but please, for everyone else’s sake, have a designated driver. And if that driver is working (i.e. taxi, Uber, Lyft, etc) give them a tip for dealing with your shenanigans… especially if you can’t hold your liquor.
It has been some time since the Cast Page has been updated. Who better to put a change to that then the Party of Adventurers? Oh, I’m sorry. Party of Adventurers™. This post’s image, along with individual shots of each of the groups enigmatic members, will be appearing on Instagram starting today and concluding on Thursday. Including the Friday comic, that’s almost a full week of posts from Gobo Gazette! After their Instagram debut, they will be added to the Cast Page with a bit more detail (not too much, because… enigmatic)!
So, what is up with the other strangeness (other than a role-playing reference)? Well, I will be updating the Cast Page further with the chimera, as well as adding these guys. Not all at once, but very soon. Basically, I am trying to make sure that the website is up-to-date. All the cast references will be made available to new and old readers alike.
Here comes cupid, ready to spread love on another Valentine’s Day! Well, actually, it’s just Fip ready to let loose an arrow blindly, hoping for the best! They say love is blind. With our emerald archer’s aim, it would be a wonder if anyone hooked up with anybody.
This would not be the first time we saw the gobos using stage props to enhance a scene. Only this time, it looks like Zip has been made prop master. I’ll tell you this: if you want a guaranteed match made by a mystical arrow, I’d convince the gobo in the crimson cowl to fire a crossbow bolt full of cuddles!
Happy Anniversary! It was one year ago, the fifth weekday of 2018, that I released the first Gobo Gazette comic. A lot has happened since then. What follows is a summary, so skip to the next paragraph if you don’t want to risk spoilers. Our twelve goblins set off on a great adventure… and quickly retreated before they could get to the second comic! We had the opportunity to glimpse each gobo’s personality and the reason why they wanted to leave. There was also an encounter with a trope quartet of strangers that eventually paved the way for their departure. It did not take them long to get lost, but they eventually made it to the first obstacle of their journey. Well, two actually.
It had been a busy year for our dirty dozen (actually the later part of Spring for them) and things are not going to get easier for them this year. I hope you are enjoying their story. If you do, please remember to follow on social media and – especially – to share posts with others. Happy Anniversary to Gobo Gazette and a Happy New Year to all of you!
Merry Christmas everyone! Yes, it is a bit late for well wishing but I got caught up in the holidays! Besides, how is Bam supposed to get away with all of that loot when Santa is about? Additionally, I can remind everyone that there will be no new comic this week. The normal posting schedule will resume next week on January 4th, 2019. If you are craving to get your gobo fix or are a new to the comic, now is a great opportunity to go back to the beginning and check out how our dirty dozen (and the art style) has progressed. Until next Friday, I wish you all a happy new year!
