Panel 1
In a wide tunnel, many gobos are turning or gathering to see what is happening or starting to flee. Among them are Nab and Zip who are just as surprised as everyone else by the magical effect (offscreen). The robed gobo is attempting to keep the crowd calm and to keep there distance but looks back as Zap, dominate in the frame has a more determined expression than the others. The gobo wizard recognizes the situation, gives quick instruction...
Zap: "<Spatial magic!>"
Robed gobo: "<Stay back!>"
Zap: "<We must hurry and get inside!>"
Panel 2
...and the four gobos are off, running down the narrow passage between the tunnel and the rest of the vanguard. From this side shot, it can be seen that the robed is hard-pressed to keep up, bell-staff ringing a rhythmic "Dūm Dūm". Ahead is Nab, who has caught up with Zap. Meanwhile, Zip has sprinted into the lead. Nab and Zap engage in conversation as they run, causing them to lag behind.
Nab: "<Can you stop it!?>"
Zap: "<No! But we're not abandoning Rek and the others!>"
Panel 3
The distance between them and Zip - who quickly moves out of view - grows greater when Nab suddenly pushes Zap. The wizard's staff is knocked loose and the robed gobo just barely avoids a collision, the bell-staff clattering "Dūm Dūm Dūm Dūm" with the sudden course correction.
Zap: "<With time, I'll figure a way back and - ->"
Nab, interrupting: "<You need to stay! Protect the other gobos!>"
Panel 4
The view changes from behind the running gobos. Zap's head is just in view, having fallen backwards to the floor. The wizard's hat is slowly drifting down to join the gobo as Nab looks back apologetically to give some parting words. The robed gobo also looks towards Zap, once more on route to join Zip who has made it past the coalescing halos and has started to enter the white globe of magical white energy. The gobo sharpshooter has slowed down to also look back at what has transpired.
Nab: "<Find us!>"
