43.07 Startled Miner
“Startled Miner” While we understand what the miners are saying, remember that the gobos don’t. This is before the potions of comprehension. So even Puccini is in the dark; it’s Nob’s story and this was all secondhand gibberish back then. Except “goblin”. They must have heard that enough times to be able to correct others.
Warning: Things will get more extreme/intense than usual from episode 42.08 through to episode 45.11.

Panel 1
From the depths of a darkened tunnel, four gobos emerge cloaked in shadows. The path turns to the right and an alert Pōk stays close to the corner, holding up a hand to silently tell the others to stop. That hand almost bops Nik in the face and the annoyed gobo steps back and away. As does Tik, who looks a bit solemn at the prospects of what's to come. Barely visible in the back is Nab, the gobo's expression unseen.
Nob, narrating: "<It didn't take us long to find threats.>"
Panel 2
The viewer follows Pōk as the gobo takes the turn... and comes to a stop in front of an old human miner, crotched low enough that his head is on the same level as the gobo's. They lock widened eyes for a moment...
Panel 3
...before the shot suddenly turns. The miner looks behind him with alarm (towards the viewer) and then shouts out his findings. A panicked Pōk stiffens, eyes shifting to see who the miner's words were for. Nik can just be seen in the darkness, glaring around the corner.
Old miner: "They got goblins too!"
Panel 4
The point of view shifts to just behind and above Pōk's head. The miner to the gobo's left stands, emphasizing their size difference as his upper body exits the panel. Behind and to the right are numerous miners, nine in view. Some of them are injured, all angry. A dwarf on the right, head bandaged from a recent injury, stares down the gobo and utters two words.
Dwarf miner: "Kill 'em!"
