On the balcony in the White Bear tavern, the whistling draws the attention of Fip, Puccini, and Hob who turn and look in Pōk's direction (offscreen, towards the viewer). Fip and Hob are mystically disguised as gnomes...
Panel 2
...but a close-up shot of Puccini - still glancing down the hallway - shows that he has had a realization, which the wizard conveys to his two companions.
Puccini, whispering: "We should really get inside the rooms. The illusory disguises will soon fade."
Panel 3
The shot flips to Hob and Fip. They both exchange a knowing glance and a smiling Fip replies, the words no longer comprehendible to Puccini (offscreen).
Fip, whispers: "<The potion ran out.>"
Panel 4
The view returns to Puccini, looking down towards Fip (offscreen). He smiles and gestures with a hand as he adds to his initial statement.
Puccini, whispering: "It seems that my comprehension potion already has."
